The Word
“Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me”
(Psalm 23:4).
Talk it Out
Not because I am brave,
not because I am practiced at the arts
of positivity, distraction, denial.
Not because it’s not that bad,
not because the utterance of
“I will fear no evil”
kills my fear.
But because he is with me.
I will fear no evil;
he is with me.
He’s not watching from on high.
He’s not waiting for me to join him on the other side of the valley.
He is with me.
Walk it Out
How do you naturally cope with fear? How does knowing he walks with us through the darkness change your perspective?
