“An artist has got to be careful never really to arrive at a place where he thinks he’s at somewhere. You always have to realize that you’re constantly in a state of becoming. And, as long as you can stay in that realm you’ll sort of be alright” (Bob Dylan).
Dearest Readers,
In my perpetual state of becoming, I have once again moved my musings to another space on the internet. Are you shocked?
I didn’t think you’d be.
On August 6, 2020, typing in my web address will lead you to my new blog called “Life Out Here.” It’s nothing new, really. I still inconsistently share musings inspired by my life. Something new you’ll find, however, is SoulSpace – a place for short devotionals in which scripture is the central focus. I’ve just wrapped up a close-reading of Psalm 23, and am praying about what to study this summer.
The other new feature is my favorite feature: the category called “Alaska.” This summer, we will move from Alabama to Alaska. It is this life event which has inspired the namesake of my new blog, and future PCS (permanent change of station) experiences will also be documented. I hope it serves as a memory book of sorts for my own family, a guidebook for future moves, and encouragement for others in the same boat.
Yes, you’ll still find me writing about crazy Rufus and Scout, and other tales of parenthood. Izaak will turn one on Thursday and I can hardly wait to muse about that!
It’s been an honor to hang out with you here, but please feel free to completely unsubscribe from this blog and meet me at Life Out Here. I’d be honored to have you on the journey.
Much love,
Kathleen
